Ingredients

How to make it

  • Clean the beef penis thoroughly, some have gunk on them.
  • Once clean place in pan of cold water and bring to boil, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • While the the penis is simmering chop the Onion and dice the Garlic
  • Chop the Penis into small rounds
  • Heat 2 Tbs. of the Oil in a large pan
  • Saute the Onions and Garlic in the oil until the onions begin to brown
  • Add the penis into the pan until the outsides start to turn golden brown
  • Add 1tsp. of salt and pepper to taste
  • Once browned add water until the whole mix is covered
  • Cover pan with lid and boil for 3 hours adding water as needed to prevent burning
  • This step is to soften the hard insides of the penis into something that you can actually eat.
  • After 3 hours have passed let the mixture boil down until the whole thing becomes thick
  • In separate bowl combine flour, remaining salt, pepper, and thyme
  • Let the pan with the penis cool a little about 5 minutes
  • Heat the remaining oil in pan
  • Take the penis chunks out of the thick broth and toss in the flour mixture until lightly coated
  • Place coated penis in the oil and fry until browned
  • Let cool on paper towel to soak up the grease
  • These are best enjoyed with a spicy sauce and potatoes
  • Serve as you would fried oysters since the taste and texture are very similar
