Divine Con Casa Recipe

Divine Con Casa Recipe
Whenever I bring this to a party, it's always the first dip to disappear. Everyone wants the recipe & no one wants to know they just fell in love with Velveeta Cheese.

Ingredients
  • 1 Box Velveeta Cheese
  • 1 Jar Picante Sauce (I like mine Hot, but choose yours to suit your pallate)
  • 1 Can Refried Beans Plain

Directions
  1. In a Microwave Safe Dish, cut up the Velveeta Cheese.
  2. I slice the boxes contents & then make cubes as these melt faster in the microwave.
  3. Put in 1/4 of the jar of the Picante (Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic, Peppers, Jalipinos & Seasoning)
  4. Put in microwave for 2 Minutes.
  5. In a frying pan, empty the Refried Beans, heat & stir. I also smash the Refried Beans even more.
  6. Do not burn them.
  7. I know this sounds awful, until you've tasted it. After you taste it, you will never make Cheese Dip with Picante Sauce, without Refried Beans. Ever.
  8. Add at least 1/2 of the Refried Beans to the Velveeta & Picante Sauce & stir.
  9. Add more Picante Sauce, stir & put back into microwave.
  10. The trick is to watch this in the microwave, so it doesn't burn.
  11. The size of your Velveeta Box determines how much Picante & Refried Beans you can mix into it. If you are not sure if your guests like it as spicy as you, then make it mild & supply Hotter Picante on the side.
  12. I keep Corn Chips to taste this with as well as Veggies. Bring both with you to the party & try not to eat it all before you get there.
  13. This keeps really well in the frig. & can be reheated in the microwave until the last bite is gone.
  14. Share this with people you like:)
  15. Happy Halloween

I've never had it with beans but I can see where it would be delicious together. Velveeta is something I buy about once every 2 years. My hubby refuses to eat it - he's such a fussy person about food - me I eat almost anything!
Thanks fo rthe post! And Happy Halloween to you too! :-)

Hi this sounds good:) I will make this soon!

Very good!

Nice

Happy Halloween

Another Velveetite here and proud of it. I hate the snobs. Always liked this recipe but will definitely have to try it with the beans. Thanks for a good post and for the support.

Sounds like a must-make! FIVE to you! :+D

Another fun recipe to make for the college kids that gather over the holidays. It is amazing the food they can consume. (I love it when they tell me they don't like something and I know they just ate it at my house...haha!)
