Ingredients
  • 4 fl oz water
  • 1 pint spirits (I use brandy)
  • 1 lb caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp of very aromatic freshly ground coffee (not the instant variety!)

Directions
  1. Place the spirits in a bottle or jar and mix in the coffee, which must have been ground just prior to using.
  2. Leave for 2 weeks, shaking the bottle 3 times a week.
  3. Prepare a syrup with the water and sugar, boiling just for a minute.
  4. Cool and add to the bottle. Shake well.
  5. Leave to stand again for 2 or 3 days.
  6. Filter well and bottle.
  7. It is really well worth the work, believe me... it is delicious!
