Perfect Roast Seasoned Turkey

- 1 20 to 22 lb turkey shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- 2 stalks celery shopping list
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon creole seasoning shopping list
- 1 tablespoon celery seed shopping list
- 1 a 1/2 tablespoons white pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black cracked pepper shopping list
- 2 and 1/2 tablespoons dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Wash and remove all giblets and neck from turkey.
- Loosen the skin between the breast.
- Mix together the seasonings.
- Rub half seasonings on top of turkey.
- Mix other half of seasonings with butter.
- Insert(using hands) the buttered seasonings under the skin of the breast.
- Cut up celery and place in cavity of turkey.
- Place turkey in roasting pan and cook for 15 minutes at 350.
- Lower heat to 225-250 degrees and cook slowly for 6 to 6 hours 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let sit at least 15 minutes before carving.
- The stock is wonderful and will be great for gravy and dressing stock.
