A great holiday appetizer or snack. You can use your favorite cracker but lighter tasting ones work best. This is so simple it freaks me out.

This is an open book. You can make it with pretty much any topping as havamaktoum mentions. We've done it with Orange Marmalade in the summer. With Mint Jelly for Derby Day. Just add your favorite topping.

Yes!! I think this would be amazing with goat cheese!

Well, actually that is not a bad idea at all. I love goat cheese. But if I'm taking this to a party I'll probably stick with the Philly. I don't want to bring home leftovers. :)

This sounds great. I might try with a spicy plum chutney. Thanks.

The local variation of this, here in the Northeast, is to use hot pepper jelly... a Philadelphia/Amish tradition.
