- Pastry: shopping list
- 4c. all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3sticks softened; unsalted butter shopping list
- 1c. sugar shopping list
- 1tsp. salt shopping list
- 4 egg yolk (save whites) shopping list
- 1tsp. vanilla shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 3lb. purple or red plums;quartered shopping list
- 1c. apricot or peach jam shopping list
- powdered sugar for dusting. shopping list
How to make it
- Make a dough combining all pastry ingredients.
- Press the dough into a cookie sheet with your fingers, pushing dough up sides of pan forming a rim.
- Spread a thin layer of peach or apricot jam on top of dough.
- Now place plums in rows on the dough.
- Beat egg whites slightly and brush over plums, sprinkle 2tbs. flour over egg whites.
- Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar on top upon serving... Enjoy....
