How to make it

  • Reserve 3/4 cup of the pie filling
  • Spoon remaining filling over a prepared graham cracker crust
  • Beat room temperature cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth
  • Blend in the eggs
  • Pour this over pie filling in crust
  • Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 35 minutes OR until cake center appears set
  • Cool to room temperature
  • Mix reserved pie filling and caramel topping together
  • Heat in a saucepan to make spreadable- only a few minutes
  • Spoon topping over cheesecake and spread evenly
  • Decorate top edges of the cake with the pecans and sprinkle top of cake with the reserved pecans
  • Chill completely before serving
