Caramel Apple Cheesecake

- 1, 21 oz can of apple pie filling shopping list
- 1 9 inch graham cracker crust shopping list
- 2, 8 oz pkg cream cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup caramel topping ( storebought ) shopping list
- 12 pecan halves plus 2 tbs chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Reserve 3/4 cup of the pie filling
- Spoon remaining filling over a prepared graham cracker crust
- Beat room temperature cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth
- Blend in the eggs
- Pour this over pie filling in crust
- Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 35 minutes OR until cake center appears set
- Cool to room temperature
- Mix reserved pie filling and caramel topping together
- Heat in a saucepan to make spreadable- only a few minutes
- Spoon topping over cheesecake and spread evenly
- Decorate top edges of the cake with the pecans and sprinkle top of cake with the reserved pecans
- Chill completely before serving
