How to make it

  • In a big pan ("paellera" in spanish) put 3 spoons of olive oil
  • Heat some garlic (cut in small pieces) until it's golden (but not brown)
  • Add the onions and the chive sliced, and cook for 5 mins
  • Add the sliced tomatoes
  • After five minutes, add the rice (1 and a 1/2 cups) and move mixing all the ingredients
  • Then add 3 cups of water (remember it's two cups of water for every cup of rice, always the double)
  • Add the salt, the pepper and the parsley
  • Cook slow heat for aprox. 20 minutes, until the water is gone and the rice is loose (move the pan so the rice does not stick to the bottom)

It depends on the number of people you invite. I use 2 cups for 6 serves. Remember always to use two cups of water for every one of rice.
