- 2 1/2 c rolled oats shopping list
- 1/2 c coconut, Shredded shopping list
- 1/2 c toasted wheat germ shopping list
- 1/4 c sunflower seeds shopping list
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds shopping list
- 1/4 c chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/4 c chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/4 c Melted margarine, non-hydrogenated shopping list
- 2 tbsp water shopping list
- 1/4 c honey shopping list
- 1/4 peanut butter, non-hydrogenated shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sea salt shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 c currants, and or dried cranberries, or other dried fruit shopping list
- 1/4 c ground flax seed shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°F, set aside 1 cookie sheet with sides.
- Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, seeds and nuts in a large bowl.
- In another container, mix together the margarine, honey, water, salt and vanilla extract. Pour over grains, stirring thoroughly.
- Spread mixture thinly on cookie sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring frequently. Oats should be crisp and brown, but coconut should not be burned.
- Allow to cool thoroughly, then add fruit and flax and place in an airtight container for storage. Can be stored up to 3 weeks without refrigeration.
