Mango Lemon Sorbet

- ice cream Freezer shopping list
- Food Processor or Blender shopping list
- Ingredients: shopping list
- 3 cups chopped peeled mangoes or fresh peaches ( about 2 pounds ) shopping list
- ½ cup cold water shopping list
- 1 cup sugar or ( sugar substitute equivalent to 1 cup sugar ) shopping list
- 2 Tbs. lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- In a food processor or blender, combine mangoes and water; cover and process until smooth. Add the sugar or sugar substitute and lemon juice; cover and process until sugar or sugar substitute is dissolved, about 1 minute. Freeze in an Ice Cream Freezer according to the manufacturer's directions. Transfer to a freezer container; cover and freeze for 1 hour until firm. Yield: 6 servings.
- Note: If you can't find mangoes, substitute fresh peaches. To peel the peaches, drop them into boiling water for a few seconds. Then you can easily slip the skins right off.
- Serving size: ½ cup, Calories per serving: 184, Fat: trace, Cholesterol: 0, Sodium: 2mg, Carbohydrate: 48g, Fiber: 2g
- NOTE: Due to the carbohydrate count it is over and if you had this at a meal that is all you could have or have ½ of the ½ cup . Why have any?
