Hagymas Krumpli - Fried Onion Potatoes Recipe
This is another Hungarian comfort food...it is loaded with flavors that include sausage, onion and potatoes like you 've never had.

Ingredients
  • 5 large potatoes with skin
  • 2 medium onions diced
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 level tsp. paprika
  • 7" slice of smoked kolbassa cut into 1/4 " pieces

Directions
  1. In a large pot, boil potatoes. Drain and let cool.
  2. Peel and dice potatoes.
  3. In a large pot, add oil, onions and garlic.
  4. Sautee until golden brown.
  5. Remove from burner and add paprika.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Add potatoe, kolbassa and salt. Mix well.
  8. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring often.
  9. Enjoy!!
