How to make it

  • Sift: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cream: sugar and butter.
  • Beat egg yolks until it nearly makes peaks, then beat into butter mixture.
  • Combine with flour and milk alternating.
  • Add: vanilla and lemon juice(or rind).
  • Pour into two greased 2" x 8" round cake pans.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
