Sandhill Peach Poundcake

- 3-1/4 c flour shopping list
- 1 Tbs baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 c butter,softened shopping list
- 2 c sugar shopping list
- 4 lg. eggs shopping list
- 1 c buttermilk shopping list
- 1 tsp butter flavor shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 1/2 tsp lemon extract shopping list
- 3 c sliced or diced fresh peaches shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 10" tube pan with baking spray with flour;set aside
- In large bowl,combine 3 c flour,baking powder and salt;set aside.
- In a lg. bowl,beat butter and sugar at med. speed with electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs,one at a time,beating well after each addition
- Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk,beginning and ending with flour. Add flavor and extracts combining well. Beat at med. speeduntil well combined and creamy. Set aside
- Toss peaches with remaining 1/4 c flour to coat thoroughly. With mixer running at lowest speed,add peaches to batter,blending just enough to incorporate.
- Bake till cake is golden brown and wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.,1 hour to 1 hour 25 mins. dueing last 20 mins of baking time,cover top of cake with aluminum foil to prevent excess browning,if desired.
- Remove from oven,let cool in pan 15 mins. Invert cake onto cooling rack,and let cool completely before slicing.
