Double-the Cream Cheese Pound Cake

- 2 pkgs cream cheese (8 oz each) shopping list
- 1 1/4 C butter (2 1/2 sticks) shopping list
- 2 1/4 C sugar shopping list
- 1/2 t salt shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 3 C cake flour shopping list
- 1 T lemon extract shopping list
- 1/2 t vanilla flavor shopping list
- * 1/2 t lemon juice (optional..I was going for a stronger lemony flavor!) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees; butter & flour 12-cup Bundt cake pan (I used a generous spraying of Baker's Joy..works like a charm!)
- Beat together first 4 ingredients with electric mixer until smooth & creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, alternating with the cake flour.
- Blend in extracts.
- Pour into cake pan & bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 320 degrees & bake an additional 40-45 minutes.
- Remove cake pan from oven & place on cooling rack. Allow cake to cool before turning out onto plate.
