Salsa Verde- Green Hot Sauce

- 10-12 tomatillos shopping list
- 8 serrano peppers (if these are to hot you could sub jalapeno peppers) shopping list
- 1 onion shopping list
- 1 Tbspn garlic shopping list
- 2 Tbspn salt shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- Optional: shopping list
- 1 Bunch Chopped cilantro shopping list
- 1 lime juiced shopping list
How to make it
- Peel & rinse tomatillos. Place them in a pan fill pan with water about 2-3 cups( can add more if needed later). Turn heat to medium. Slice onion, serrano pepper, and garlic and add to pan. Sprinkle salt on top. Let cook until tomatillos turn a brownish color(keep turning to make sure all sides are cooked). About 20-30 min. If the water is all absorbed add more you dont want to burn it. Then put it all in the blender and mix until smooth, if you want to add cilantro and lime this is when you should add it. Put in bowl and serve with tacos.
