Ingredients

How to make it

  • Add oil to large hot skillet over medium high heat.
  • Immediately add all other ingredients. Continue frying mixture over medium high heat for a few minutes. When cabbage is slightly wilted, turn heat down to just under medium and cook for 20 minutes to a half hour, turning occasionally.
  • Adjust seasoning, remove from heat and serve.

I've made fried cabbage many times in the past, but don't believe I've ever added carrots. It was excellent. Thanks, Windy for sharing your special Mister Windy recipe. :))

Your fried cabbage turned up on a plate of baked chicken.
Nice flavor. Added bacon and fried it up in the rendering.
