From windy1950 14 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage shopping list
- canola oil, as needed shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning shopping list
- salt & pepper, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Crumble sausage into skillet and brown over medium heat, breaking apart with a spatula, until meat is no long pink. Scoot the pan off the burner, and with slotted spoon, remove meat from pan and set aside.
- 2. Pour evaporated milk into a 1-quart measuring pitcher and dilute with enough water to make one quart total. Add enough oil, if needed, to cover bottom of pan (about a 1/2 cup total). Stir flour into pan and lightly add seasonings. When flour mixture is slightly brown, gradually stir in milk mixture.
- 3. Reduce heat and allow to thicken, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. Return sausage to pan and heat through. Adjust seasoning and serve.
