Carolina Comfort Sweet Tater Pie

No spices, just the pure taste of much loved sweet potato!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes; if using canned, drain liquid; if using fresh baked, allow to cool completely before adding to mix shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie shell shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl.
- Add eggs; mix well.
- Add sweet potatoes; blend thoroughly.
- Stir in milk, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour into pie shell
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes
- Fresh baked sweet potatoes make a very flavorful pie but canned sweet potatoes may also be used.
