Ingredients

How to make it

  • Slice onions
  • wipe the tears away
  • melt butter in the pot
  • Turn on the stove first! It heats up quicker.
  • fry the onions (just for a minute or two). You don't need a pan for this one. it will just mean something else to wash afterwards
  • Answer the phone and tell them your'e busy.
  • Add everything else and bring to the boil.
  • There's the phone again! Just let it ring.
  • Turn the heat down to low.
  • After about an hour, turn off the heat and let it cool down for a while.
  • Blend with hand-blender
  • Reheat before serving. (Wasn't that obvious ?)
  • May be frozen and then thawed and heated as needed. (That's what we do)
  • Don't forget the croutons
  • OH! That damn phone

I love Split Pea Soup, and I most certainly have made Pea Soup from frozen peas with very successful results. This sounds great!! Thank you.
