How to make it

  • Melt butter in skillet over medium high heat. Cook onions with sugar in skillet unitl lightly browned about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Add mushrooms to skillet with garlic and cook over medium heat until mushrooms begin to just brown. Remove from skillet.
  • Add beef broth to skillet and deglaze pan. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes scraping browned bits. Add whipping cream, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, the onions, and mushrooms. Heat through. Add sliced beef.
  • Serve on toasted buns with sliced cheese. Garnish as desired.

    Hay Pat. Can't see the sugar in this and a bit too much Worcestershire sauce for my taste. Overall this will be delicious though. Thanks for the post. RJ
