Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1.Core pineapple. Dice into small peices and place into blender.
  • 2.Add about 1 cup of water to blender and blend until smooth.
  • 3.Strain the liquid into 1 gallon pitcher a little at a time. Discard pulp. Stir in the white sugar until dissolved, add honey and lime juice also. Add remaining water. Serve immediately or let stand overnight for best taste.
  • Note: Depending on how sweet the pineapple is you may need to add more or less sugar.

Hi sharebear, this sounds so GOOD. Question, the pulp? could it be saved and added to muffins or a pineapple bread, like banana bread. Maybe in a cookie? All the yummy pineapple seems such a waste to throw it away. I have half of a pineapple, I'm going to try it. Can't do the sugar, gonna try splenda.

How many times have I picked up a glass from a street vendor? Wow, what a memory rush. I have a couple of pina that are ready to pick out front so this gets made today. Reckon you might want to tell the folks how much canned pineapple to use and to skip the sugar if they do. Great post, Grazie. RJ
