Bourbon Barbecued Chicken

- 1 bottle(18 oz) bbq sauce shopping list
- 1/4 c bourbon whiskey or apple juice shopping list
- 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- 3-3-1/2 lbs bone-in chicken pieces shopping list
How to make it
- In bowl,stir together bbq sauce,whiskey,vinegar,chili powder and cinnamon. Reserve 2/3 c sauce mixture;place remaining sauce in large plastic resealable storage bag. Pierce chicken with for;add to bad with sauce,making sure all chicken pieces are coated.
- Seal bag;refrigerate 2 hours,turning occasionally.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line jelly roll pan with foil;coat with cooking spray Remove chicken from bag,letting excess sauce drip off;discard bag with sauce.
- Arrange chicken ,skin side up on pan. Roast till no longer pink near bone,45-50 mins,brushing with reserved sauce mixture several times during last 20 mins of cooking time.

This sounds like it will work very well. A great idea for a cold, rainy day. A few drops of liquid smoke may add the the BBQ flavor. RJ
