Moroccan Dessert

- 4 sheets of phylo, yufka or strudel dough. shopping list
- ca. 1/2 cup melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup each dried apricots and dried figs, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Mix fruit, nuts, salt and chocolate together in a bowl. Set aside.
- Thoroughly butter each layer of phylo or yufka and stack on top of each other and cut into 4 pieces. Cover with a cloth.
- Take one stack of the dough and put about 1/4 of the nut mixture in the center. Fold in the edges to cover the filling and carefully place on baking paper on a cookie sheet with the folded side on the bottom.
- When all are done, brush with butter and place in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
