Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix onion powder, garlic, pepper and carrot together
  • Fry until brown
  • Add spam and fry for three minutes
  • Add 1 cup of water and ketchup
  • Bring to the boil
  • Simmer for 15 minutes or until thick like Mamma's sauce (lol)
  • Put aside
  • Layer a baking dish with one layer of lasagna sheets
  • Top with sauce
  • Repeat this process 2 times
  • Top with mayonaise (spread evenly over top)
  • Finish by topping with cheese slices
  • Bake in fan forced oven at 392 degrees faranheit for 40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve with fries or a traditional Italian salad
  • Yummo!

    How can someone desecrate a traditional Italian dish with spam and slice cheese.
    I am Horrified. Respect the Lasagna please. I cant even give it one star. :[

    Nice recipe for the use of a clasic = SPAM. Good for a tight budget. Please consider adding this to the SPAM group since you are the only one that can do that. You'll have to join the group but you can always leave it after you add this dish to the group -- not that you'd want to :-). Thanks for posting this.

    Nice looking lasagna and worth a try. Things in Samoa are a bit different but here good mince is cheaper than spam (not to mention healthier and better tasting) and cottage cheese is cheaper than any cheese slices I can buy. Last but not least, canned tomato sauce (puree) or chopped tomatoes are half as dear per ounce or cup as ketchup. Yes, you need to add a few of your own spices but those are cheap. RJ
