How to make it

  • Turn sauce pan on medium, and melt butter.
  • Slowly wisk in flour until there are no clumps.
  • Continue to heat roux until flour is light brown in color. Stir regularly
  • Add cream (or milk) slowly, while stiring.
  • Add seasonings.
  • Bring mixture to near boil, on medium heat.
  • Slowly wisk in cheese. Add small amount at a time, and wait until it has melted before added more.
  • If mixture is to thick, add some milk. If to thin, add more cheese.

I love this sauce. I did have to tone down the spices quite a bit 1 TBS was entirely too much. I threw out the first pot I made because the spices were just too much. the second batch I made I used 1/2 tsp in a doubled recipe and it was perfect.

It turned out wonderful. I made it with spaghetti noodles and chopped up chicken breast. I also made bruschetta to go with and steamed asparagus... I will use that sauce over and over again....

Wow this sounds great! Can't wait to try it with your lasagna and it would also be great on mac and cheese. Thanks for sharing!
