Ingredients

How to make it

  • Turn sauce pan on medium, and melt butter.
  • Slowly wisk in flour until there are no clumps.
  • Continue to heat roux until flour is light brown in color. Stir regularly
  • Add cream (or milk) slowly, while stiring.
  • Add seasonings.
  • Bring mixture to near boil, on medium heat.
  • Slowly wisk in cheese. Add small amount at a time, and wait until it has melted before added more.
  • If mixture is to thick, add some milk. If to thin, add more cheese.

    I love this sauce. I did have to tone down the spices quite a bit 1 TBS was entirely too much. I threw out the first pot I made because the spices were just too much. the second batch I made I used 1/2 tsp in a doubled recipe and it was perfect.

    It turned out wonderful. I made it with spaghetti noodles and chopped up chicken breast. I also made bruschetta to go with and steamed asparagus... I will use that sauce over and over again....
