Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pour water into bowl and sprinkle yeast in, stir to dissolve and set aside.
  • Combine salt and flour and mix with paddle attachment for 1 minute. (This is where you would add extra herbs and spices)
  • Add yeast and oil and mix with the paddle for one minute
  • Switch to the dough hook and mix on med speed for 3-5 minutes, until smooth and elastic
  • Place in an oiled bowl, cover and let rest in a warm area for about 1.5 hours
  • On floured surface punch dough down lightly with heels of hands.
  • Form into crusts top and bake in oven at 500f for approximately 11- 12 minutes.

I have seen and used lots of different recipes. Most of them do not have enough oil in them to make the crust delicious and crusty. This one looks to have enough. I'll give it a try and report back to you on my results. :) THX

This sounds delish! An Italian friend of mine says that a splash of red wine is what makes Italian pizza dough "real Italian." I will try this one!!
