How to make it

  • Preheat oven. 350 F.
  • Melt butter + chocolate together.
  • Whip eggs, sugar, vanilla + salt on high until thick and light in color (4-5 minutes.)
  • Pour some of the egg mixture into the melted chocolate mixture while still stirring, then pour in remaining egg mixture and blend on medium speed.
  • Mix in flour + nuts on low speed until just blended. Batter will be very wet.
  • Pour into greased 9x9 pan. (They tend to be sticky!)
  • Bake until toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out with a very crumbs clinging to it (about 30-40 minutes.)
  • Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into 3-in. square pieces.

    3/4 c butter! (ie., 1.5 sticks) So, so sorry for the typo, especially because I don't know how to go back and change a recipe!

    Question about the amount of butter used--1/4 cup is half a stick, and 1.5 sticks would be 3/4 cup. I'd LOVE to try these, but want to make sure I use the right amount.

    I googled it, because these sound so good, lmbo. It is 1.5 sticks, or 3/4 cup.

    Thanks for posting, though, I'd never have seen this recipe!
