How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Sift the baking powder and pastry/cake flour together in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs with granulated sugar until blended.
  • Beat in margarine,butter,and vanilla. Add other ingredients.
  • Once dough is formed,roll to ½ inch thick on floured surface.
  • Cut out 3½-inch circles with 1½-inch holes.
  • Bake on a baking sheet lined with parchment for 9 minutes.
  • [section]Vanilla Icing[section]
  • Cream vanilla and margarine until fluffy.
  • Gradually mix in sugar,cup after cup.Add in milk until smooth.
  • Use food coloring if desired.
  • For chocolate icing, add 6 tablespoons cocoa.
  • For coconut icing,add in ¾ cup shredded coconut.
  • For strawberry icing, crush 2 strawberries and mix in frosting.
  • For honey icing, add ¼ cup honey to the icing.
  • For apple icing, add ¾ cup applesauce.
  • And finally,for pumpkin, add ¾ cup pumpkin puree.
