How to make it

  • 1.Place the cucumber slices in a container and cover with cold water. Refrigerate overnight.
  • 2.Whisk the sour cream, vinegar, sugar, cayenne pepper, dill weed, garlic powder, cracked black pepper and salt in a mixing bowl until the sugar has dissolved. Add the sliced onion and drain the cucumbers and squeeze out the excess water; add to the bowl and mix to coat with dressing.
  • 3. Serve immediatly.

    My hubby made them very close to your recipe. I don't think he used cayenne, but I will! I love hot/spicy everything! lol

    If you'd like to try this less liquidy, put the sliced cucumbers into a colander, salt the cucumbers and let them drain for about an hour; then press them firmly with the palm of your hand to squeeze out the liquid. Proceed with your recipe as always. Your spices sound wonderful!

    My father-in-law love cucumbers in sour cream, but he didn't season it at all - I think this sounds wonderful! Love the cayenne in it!
