Pear Bread With Strawberry Butter

- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt shopping list
- 1 cup peeled, cored, and coarsley chopped pears shopping list
- Strawberry butter shopping list
- 1 10 oz package frozen strawberries, defrosted shopping list
- 1 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar shopping list
- Garnish: 1 large strawberry; 1 sprig mint shopping list
How to make it
- Pear Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9"x5"x3" loaf pan.
- Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and nutmeg.
- Add the flour mixture, alternately with the yogurt, to the egg mixture.
- Stir in the pears.
- Turn batter into prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Strawberry Butter
- Put all ingredients into a food processor and process until well combined. Turn off, scrape down the sides and process until smooth.
- Place in a serving bowl. chill.
- To serve, place strawberry in the center of the butter and garnish with leaves from the mint sprig
- Note: You can also form into small balls (about the size of small cherry tomatoes) and serve on bread plates with bread knives.
