How to make it

  • Chop shrimp into medium chunks.Transfer shrimp to a bowl and add eggs, celery, and mayonnaise; mix well. Add seasonings, to taste, and stir to combine. Spread additional mayonnaise on both sides of bread. Heap shrimp salad onto bread and then cut sandwiches in half. Serve with lettuce and tomato, if desired.

    This is really delicious. I made as directed except I don't have onion salt so I used some onion powder. I also was worried that 1/2 cup mayonnaise would be too much so I did a scant 1/2 cup. It still was a bit too much for my taste. I think 6 Tbs would be plenty here. Still, it was really flavorful with the Old Bay and celery salt and all. I served it on some butter lettuce with a tomato. I don't need another piece of bread with even more mayonnaise on it. :) I'm not much of a celery fan but it was really nice here. Added to IMI on 2/10/16.
