How to make it

  • Note: I'm writing this recipe like a bartender because that's the only way I know how so let me explain. 10 and 12 second drizzle just means that you pour that stuff out in a slow steady stream for 10 or twelve seconds. They don't even have to be full seconds, I tend to could a little quickly and have never messed this up. This is going to be fun.
  • Empty the tomato juice into a pitcher.
  • Shake a bottle of tabasco over it 30 times, or more if that's your style.
  • Stir in the chipotle tabasco.
  • Now add the soy and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Stir in the horseradish
  • Cover the top of all that the with the Tony Chachere's and Celery salt.
  • Now you're ready to make the bloody mary
  • Salt the rim of your glass with kosher salt, not necessary but recommended
  • Fill your glass with ice
  • Pour 1 1/2 oz of vodka in there :)
  • Squish half a lemon in there
  • Dump a little olive juice in there if you want to, I do
  • Fill up with the bloody mary mix
  • Push it around with a straw or spoon
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and whatever pickled things you have around. I haven't met a pickled item that didn't go with this drink. Enjoy! You have a whole pitcher of this stuff now!

I love bloody Marys! Been trying out a variety of this mix. Recently, I found my fave of all! It's called LAVA (www.lavabmm.com). It's the best bloody mary mix, I think, since it tastes really good, not to mention, it uses whole non-gmo San Marzano tomatoes and is gluten free. =)

I also worked in a bar at one time, and we made our Bloody Marys pretty much the same way. Great recipe!

I can personally vouch for the awesomeness of these bloody marys. When I'm on my way to Marfa I call my daughter and have her get one ready for me. These things ROCK!
