- 1 package elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- flour shopping list
- milk shopping list
- 8 - 12 oz sharp cheddar shopping list
- 1 package cream cheese shopping list
- Tabasco sauce shopping list
- mustard shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Cook macaroni in boiling water until done.
- Drain macaroni and rinse in cold water. This keeps the macaroni from cooking further in the oven.
- In a pot over medium heat, melt butter.
- After the butter melts, add enough flour to make a paste.
- Add milk and whisk until smooth.
- Cook mixture until thickened. Continue to add milk until it's the consistency of cheese sauce or gravy.
- Add cheeses and stir until melted.
- Add a couple of drops of Tabasco, a small amount of mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour into casserole dish and bake at 350 until browned and bubbly.
