Chocolaty Peanut Buttery Rice Krispie TreatsFrom grecogirl 5 years ago
How to make it
- To make the treats coat a 9 X 11 pan with butter. Measure out 6 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal and put in large bowl. Set aside.
- In a saucepan melt butter on low heat and then add in marshmallows. Mix well until it becomes creamy. Remove from heat and add the mixture to the Cereal. Mix well. Put cereal mixture into the 9X11 pan. Use wax paper to press mixture into pan ( I find buttering your fingers a bit and using your hands works well).
- Make the topping: On Med-Low heat start to melt butter in saucepan then add in chocolate chips. When chocolate is half way melted add in the peanut butter. Stir well and melt until creamy. (If mixture is too thick add some more butter to pan). Remove from heat and use spatula to spread over the Rice Krispie Treats. When fully coated with layer of chocolate put in the fridge for at least 20 min. to set. When ready to eat remove from fridge, cut into squares and serve.
