Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons plus 3/4 cup butter, divided
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package (10 to 12 ounces) vanilla or white chips
  • 1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme
  • 3 teaspoons orange extract
  • 12 drops yellow food coloring
  • 5 drops red food coloring

Directions
  1. Grease a 13"x9"x2" pan with 1 1/2 teaspoons butter; set aside.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, cream and remaining butter. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 4 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat; stir in chips and marshmallow creme until smooth.
  4. Remove 1 cup and set aside.
  5. Add orange extract and food coloring to the remaining mixture; stir until blended.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Drop reserved marshmallow mixture by tablespoonfuls over the top; cut through with a knife to swirl.
  8. Cover and refrigerate until set. Cut into squares.
  9. Makes about 2 1/2 pounds.

Hi jiliebean' this recipe sounds delish, I'm a big fudge fan...as we don't get marshmellow creme over here, and I'm not actually even too sure what it is could you suggest to me a similar alternative that might work?Thanks

I am weak in the knees! This seems like it would be like a Creamsicle (TM) in a pan! Almost too yummy to imagine...must mean I'm gonna hafta make it!! :)
Do you know if the recipe will 'half' alright to make in an 8x8 pan?
