Buttermilk Apple Cake With Caramel Frosting

For buttermilk apple Cake
- 2 3/4 cups flour shopping list
- 3t baking powder shopping list
- 1t salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup honey shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 3t vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2-3 fresh apples, peeled and shredded(about 1 1/2 cups) shopping list
For Easy Creamy caramel Frosting
- 1 10oz jar purchased premium caramel ice cream topping shopping list
- 1 1/2-2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 1-2T whipping cream(can sub lil less milk, if desired) shopping list
- 1t vanilla shopping list
- 1/2t salt shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, salt and baking powder and set aside. (sift, if desired)
- Cream butter, honey and sugar together in electric mixer until light and creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- Add vanilla and beat until well mixed.
- Slowly add dry ingredients and buttermilk, alternately, beating well.
- Beat about 2 minutes at medium speed.
- Fold in shredded apples.
- Divide between 2 8 or 9inch, prepared pans.
- Bake in 350 oven for about 30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out ALMOST clean.
- Cool on wire racks about 10 minutes, then turn out onto the racks and cool completely.
For Easy Creamy Caramel Frosting
- Beat caramel topping, vanilla, salt and powdered sugar in electric mixer until well combined.
- Add whipping cream 1T at a time, whipping well and adding more cream or powdered sugar, as needed, for spreadable consistency.
- Frost cooled cake
