Beef Stroganoff

- 1 lb. sirloin, sliced into thin strips shopping list
- 6 tbsp. butter, divided shopping list
- 8 oz. mushroom, sliced shopping list
- 1/2 onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups beef broth (can add 1/4 cup white wine and 1 cup broth) shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp. flour (if needed) shopping list
- 1 tbsp. parsley, coarsely chopped shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 12 oz. package cooked extra wide egg noodles shopping list
How to make it
- Over medium high heat add 2 tbsp. butter to melt
- Add steak slices, salt and pepper and cook until brown
- Remove steak and set aside
- In same skillet, add 2 tbls. butter and mushrooms
- Saute until cooked.
- Set aside
- Turn heat down to medium
- Add last 2 tbls. butter and melt.
- Add onions and garlic, saute until soft
- Add 1/4 cup broth (or wine) to deglaze pan
- Add sour cream and beef broth, stirring until well combined
- If needed, add flour to 1/4 cup sauce to thicken, stirring back into sauce
- Add cooked steak and mushrooms
- Heat until hot, stirring constantly
- Salt and pepper
- Stir in parsley
- Serve over noodles

yum! after we started talking about it in ODD I was so curious, seen it but never tasted it...until today b/c Trader Joe's was giving out little samples of their frozen and it was good but I bet yours is amazing! Can't wait to make it, thanks!

I made this for dinner one night last week and it is excellent! My first time cooking and eating it, in fact, so I don't have anything to compare it to but know that it is a winner! YUM! I used baby bellas and did use the flour to thicken.
