Chai French Toast

- 1 tbs butter shopping list
- 3-4 thick slices of bread - sourdough or French bread both work great shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/3 cup vanilla chai latte (we used bottled Bolthouse farm vanilla chai latte) But any premade Chai Latte will work; add a 1/2 tsp vanilla if not already vanilla flavored. shopping list
- cinnamon to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Combine egg, chai latte mix (vanilla extract if necessary) to a shallow bowl and whisk. See Photo
- Melt butter in a skillet or on a griddle and heat (be careful not to burn the butter)
- Dip each piece of bread into the chai mixture making sure to evenly coat both sides and place on griddle.
- Repat for all remaining pieces of bread (some bread is more absorbent than others so you may not get through all 4 peices, or you may be able to make more)
- Cook each side for 1- 2 minutes until golden brown
- Remove from griddle. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve with butter and maple syrup.
