Rich Mushroom Sauce

- oil for frying shopping list
- 50g grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1 punnet mushrooms chopped into small pieces shopping list
- 1 large onion very finely chopped shopping list
- 1 heaped teaspoon of freshly crushed garlic shopping list
- 1/2 packet bacon chopped into small pieces (optional) shopping list
- 350 ml cream shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry onions, bacon, mushrooms, salt pepper and garlic. (When I use the optional bacon I like to fry my onion and bacon first before adding the mushrooms, as the bacon tend not to get so crispy if you add the mushrooms immediatly)
- Add cream and parmesan and stir well, let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes and remove from heat.
- Serve warm.
