Backcountry Venison Stew

- 2 lbs. venison cut in 1" cubes shopping list
- 4 tbsp bacon drippings shopping list
- water shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 3/4 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 medium potatoes cubed shopping list
- 6 medium carrots sliced shopping list
- 1 green pepper chopped shopping list
- 2 cups sliced celery shopping list
- 3 tbsp all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold water shopping list
How to make it
- Brown venison cubes in hot bacon drippings in a heavy dutch oven. Add water to cover, seasionings, and onion. Cover and simmer about 2 hours. Add potatoes, carrots, peppers, and celery; cook about 20 minutes or untill the veggies are tender. Taste and add more seasionings if desired. Dissolve flour in 1/4 cup cold water and stir into stew. cook about 5 min, and serve.
