How to make it

  • Combine soy sauce and vinegar in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Dissolve sugar in soy sauce mixture, mix in ginger and garlic.
  • Pour boiling water into the mix, screw the lid on the jar, and shake well to combine.
  • Let stand in the fridge at least 1 day before use to allow flavours to blend.

    Well, it appears to be thin enough to work with pressure infusion marination. Google for it to see how it works. There's an informative youtube vid that shows how to reduce overnight teriyaki soaks to 20-seconds in a soda bottle. So yeah, that could get you out of a jam if you waited 'til the last minute.     I make this quite a bit. Don't want to gross you out so shield your eyes as your vegan but I like to pour it on salmon and couscous. And I always use real wine, since it's always around.
