Ginger-Garlic Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

- 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1-inch piece ginger root, grated shopping list
- 3-4 cloves fresh garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1/2 cup boiling water shopping list
How to make it
- Combine soy sauce and vinegar in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Dissolve sugar in soy sauce mixture, mix in ginger and garlic.
- Pour boiling water into the mix, screw the lid on the jar, and shake well to combine.
- Let stand in the fridge at least 1 day before use to allow flavours to blend.

I make this quite a bit. Don't want to gross you out so shield your eyes as your vegan but I like to pour it on salmon and couscous. And I always use real wine, since it's always around.
