How to make it

  • Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla, thoroughly. Stir in flour and salt. Blend well, and add nuts. Chill until easy to handle.
  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough into 1" balls. Place cookie balls on ungreased baking sheet. (Cookies do not spread.)
  • Bake 10-12 minutes, or until set, NOT brown. While cookies are warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again.
