Chicken Casserole

- 1 can cream of chicken soup shopping list
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup shopping list
- 1 can water shopping list
- 1 1/2 C Minute Rice or long grain rice shopping list
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves or chicken thighs shopping list
- 1 package dried onion soup mix shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Lightly grease the entire inside of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the 2 soups and water together until smooth.
- Stir in rice.
- Pour mixture into a greased pan.
- Place chicken pieces on top.
- Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over that (or you can season with salt, pepper and paprika instead of using the soup mix, if desired).
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 2 hours.

I got this recipe a long time ago from my mother. I made it all the time while my kids were growing up and it was one of our favorite dishes.

I followed the recipe to the T. It seemed to dry out after more then 1 hour of cooking. I would half the onion soup seasonig as it overwhelmed the dish. Next time i think i will add broccoli, cheddar cheese and more canned soup. I think it would be w...more
