How to make it

  • Gently remove the silk strands from the cobs of corn and re-wrap in the husks.
  • Place corn into a deep bowl and cover with water. Soak 1-2 hours, drain well.
  • In a small dish, whisk together the oil, vinegar, oregano, basil, mustard, salt and garlic until well combined. Set aside.
  • Preheat a gas BBQ to medium or build a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill.
  • Place the corn cobs, in their husks, directly on the grill.
  • Cover and cook 10-12 minutes, turning every 4 minutes.
  • Peel back the husks around the "stem" end to form handles and brush evenly with the herb-oil mixture. Serve immediately.

    we always cook the fresh corn like this, but not with these seasonings. I can't wait till July! (in Pittsburgh).
