How to make it

  • 1. Place the pastry out to defrost.
  • 2. Place the butter, apples,brown sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch in a pan and cook until soft and put aside to cool.
  • 3. Preheat the oven t 400 degrees f
  • 4. Place the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and open then out and cut into 4 pieces and then place mixture in the middle of these squares and and then fold over corner to corner into a triangle shape and press the edges together to seal.
  • 5. Place turnovers on a baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between them.
  • 6. Bake for 25 minutes in thed preheated oven until turnovers are puffed and lightly browned and cool before glazing.
  • 7. To make the glaze mix together the confectioners sugar milk and vanilla in a bowl. and then drizzle over the cooled turnovers

    This looks good, but I'm puzzled that they are called "Apple and Raisin" turnovers when there are no raisins in the recipe.
