Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk, butter, and eggs; add flour mixture, and mix just until batter is combined.
  • Heat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions; brush with oil or a little melted butter. Pour batter onto iron (amount depends on iron size), leaving a 1/2-inch border on all sides. Close iron; cook until waffles are golden brown and crisp, 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

Delightful. My waffle iron gave up. You can't buy a waffle iron in Samoa. That was a shock. Took my old one apart and salvaged the plates. Heat on the stove, add the batter, three minutes on this side, flip the whole thing over, two minutes on the other side, one waffle. Got a new one coming from Kiwi, someday. Great post. RJ

I need to get a waffle iron... I believe if I try this one I will get addicted :)) It happened the same with pancakes. I never tried them before I came across the recipe in this site and now it is my favourite weekend breakfast ;)
    Great post Luisa!
