Rhu's Marinara Sauce

- 1 T olive oil shopping list
- 1 c diced onion shopping list
- 1 c sliced 'shrooms shopping list
- ¼ c diced green bell pepper shopping list
- 6 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- ¾ c dry red wine shopping list
- ¾ c water shopping list
- OR sub 1 ½ c chicken bouillon for the wine and water shopping list
- ¼ c chopped fresh cilantro shopping list
- 1 T sugar shopping list
- 1 t dried oregano shopping list
- 1 t dried basil shopping list
- 1 t dried rosemary, crushed shopping list
- 1 t salt shopping list
- ½ t pepper shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes, undrained, chopped shopping list
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add onion, 'shrooms, bell pepper and garlic; saute for 5 minutes or until tender. Add wine and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
