How to make it

  • Mix together beef and rest of ingredients. Form mixture into 6 to 8 steak shaped patties about 3/4" thick. Dip lightly into flour & brush with olive oil. Arrange on broiling pan. Broil 3" from source of heat 5 mins. on each side or to your liking. While meat is broiling, prepare gravy. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
  • In large skillet over medium heat, heat 1 Tbsp. oil and saute onion & garlic till soft, about 7 mins. Add mushrooms and cook till soft. Add wine, oyster sauce, soy sauce, broth; bring to a boil and cook till slightly reduced. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup water and stir into sauce in skillet and cook till thickened. Stir in sesame oil, parsley and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Makes about 4 cups.
  • Arrange steaks on hot platter and pour gravy over them. Serve with steam rice and plenty of gravy
