How to make it

  • Cut chicken into thin strips.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken. Mix well.
  • Add cornstarch to the seasoned chicken and toss well.
  • Heat the cooking oil in a wok or pan. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown. Place them in a bowl with paper towels and set aside.
  • When finished frying all the chicken fillets, pour off the cooking oil and wipe the wok or pan with paper towel to remove any cornstarch residue.
  • Pour the hoisin sauce into the wok or pan.
  • Add the chicken fillets and toasted sesame seeds. Toss and stir lightly.
  • Serve with or without rice.
