Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c. butter or margerine
  • 1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
  • 1 bag chocolate chips, preferably bittersweet (or combine chips, bittersweet, milk, butterscotch, whatever you like!)
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions
  1. Cream butter, shortning and sugars till fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs and extracts
  3. Combine dry ingredients, beat into egg mixture.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips
  5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoon onto cookie sheets (I line mine with foil, no need to clean)
  6. Bake at 325 degrees 12 - 15 minutes till golden.

I love chocolate chip cookies too....


Oh my Im glad you posted this...my sweet husband loves them just the way you do..crispy and chewy..I like them really light in color and soft..allmost doughy=))...When I make them I have to make a few batches for him and than make em the way I like! Thanks for sharing..Im going to try this one out soon.
